You may face some difficulties in applying for a residence permit in Turkey for the first time or even renewing it, but when you try to get it by buying a property in Turkey, it is different because the title deed is often the key to renewing it.

The number of apartments bought by foreigners in Turkey during the year 2017, 22234 apartments, mostly apartments in Istanbul, and in second place Antalya, which sold 4707 apartments, and then Bursa 1474 apartments, and in fourth place Yalova with 1079 apartments.

Buy a minimum of 70,000$ property in Istanbul or 50,000$ in other than Istanbul in order to apply for a residence permit.  As stated above after 5 years of stay in Turkey, you will be eligible to apply for Turkish Citizenship.

According to Turkish law, if you buy real estate in Turkey, you can get a residence permit. Up to your wish, you can get 2-years permanent residency which can be renewed annually. The property owners can relocate and have their second home in Turkey, not only have a holiday in this beautiful country.

Papers required to apply for real estate residence permit in Turkey
 

• The title deed of the property (tapu).

• Property earthquake insurance.

• A valid passport for a minimum period of six months.

• A family statement of children translated into Turkish and certified by the Turkish Embassy in the mother country.

• Health insurance in Turkish territory for each member of the family.
